STOCKING!!!
Christmas at NicNaps
Hi everyone :)
Just a quick update - the last few customs are finished and have all been sent out. Will upload photos this afternoon!
We're working on sewing in stock nappies now for the next couple of weeks, in the hopes of having a big pile ready for an early December stocking.
As an early Christmas present to all our customers, we've just added a handful of individual custom spots on our site for a special discounted price - but be quick! The special is only on till the 28th of Nov.

Surprise Stocking
Well it's not really a stocking as such, just several smalls and a couple of larges...
But the surprise is to announce the gender of our in utero bub!
Check out our new stock to find out what it is!
We also still have some daycare nappies up. Very affordable, black inners to avoid staining, microfibre sewn in boosters for quick drying and touchtape closure for ease of use.
And a few night nappies also still available.
If you're after bigger sizes or girly nappies, we will have some coming very soon! But I've also listed a couple of 6 packs for those who like to pick their own.

Happy Birthday to my sweet girl....
*sigh* I can't believe she's 2 :(
My little princess/ratbag had her birthday on Saturday and enjoyed every minute of it. I'm kinda happy it's over too. It was Ben's 2 weeks ago and she knew her's was next so has been walking around for a week straight saying 'Happy mine day' over and over. :-p
It felt so good to be able to sit down and make her some nice new nappies that weren't testers or seconds!
She's been quite neglected, LOL. She was ecstatic when she realised they were hers. She's not usually allowed to touch the nappies in my sewing room so when she made a grab for these ones and I actually said that they were for her, her face lit up and she hugged them for a good half hour! :-)
Quickly sharing the nappy photos now and will upload all the party photos tomorrow.

And not think about sewing for a few days while I have a bit of a rest! Or I might sew something pretty for Sarah if I can't resist the urge of my lovely machines :-P

Girls V Boys
Amidst all the Doctors visits, sick kids, and birthday planning - I've still managed to get something done!
I've finally finished these gorgeous custom packs. A boy one and a girl one, I can't decide which is my favourite. They were both so fun to do.
The girly one was a special order from a lovely customer. She sent custom embroidered fabrics for the tabs, and special minkys for these first three.
I dyed some bamboo velour for all the inners, and I have to say they turned out so pretty. ♥

So sweet and girly!
These two are just a couple of replacements for wonderful loyal customers.
And now the boy pack! This was very fun because I special ordered in the Michael Miller fabrics. Made me clucky for a little boy this time around!
One of my favourites, the teal minky, chocolate micro, Grass Menagerie tab nappy - bottom left.
The blueberry pirate boat nappy above (bottom right), was another favourite because of the hand dyed inner. So soft and cuddly :-)
So running behind a bit.... I was hoping to have a stocking ready to go this week but the 'feeling good' days didn't last as long as I thought.
Almost 16 weeks now though so fingers crossed I don't have to suffer too much longer.

Still Alive!
But only just :-( Sorry for not keeping up to date. I spent yet another lovely (borrrring) evening at the hospital. I think they should just give me a drip stand thingo to bring home!
I do have some photos and a bit of news though!
News is that despite the morning* sickness, I've been getting quite a bit done because of my lovely new machines so the stocking for Sept I've been planning should still go ahead! Probably somewhere in the middle of the month, but I'll send out a newsletter when I have an exact date.
Some really exciting new stuff this time!

It's been a while since I've updated.
I have so much going on and have almost forgotten what the rest of my house looks like from being stuck inside my sewing room all day everyday.
This co-op has definitely taken me longer than I expected. I tried doing them all at once but it just gets too confusing so I've thought it over and am now tackling them in smaller bunches.
I am about half way and will have photos tonight.
Fingers crossed that they'll be all done and sent by this time next week.
I came close to having them out today but had an exciting/stressful/nauseating event unfold last week.
We are very excited and proud to announce that Nicnap baby number 4 is on the way!
Yes we have obviously lost our minds in missing the fact that 3 is already a handful, but are still both thrilled to have another wee nappy model join the family :-)
As excited as we are, it is also still a fair bit stressful. My pregnancies have always been rough in terms of the dreaded morning sickness and unfortunately it's already begun.
I'm working through it but am not as proficient in getting up early and sewing from daybreak as I was!!
So apologies again to those waiting... we are in the home stretch though so you won't have to wait much longer.

And she's broke :-(
My machine pedal finally went kaput last night. When you turn the machine on now it runs constantly making it impossible to sew if you desire in tact fingers ;-p
We are working as fast as we can on getting it replaced but I will lose a day or two of sewing, possibly more.
I will still be cutting though, so when the replacement is in I'll be able to whip them out as fast as possible.
The co-op nappies are in progress, I will post some photos of the finished ones tonight - and will work non stop till they're done - I don't envisage these taking any longer than 2 weeks. Most likely one if it weren't for me still waiting on a few fabrics.
Will update when I know more and want to apologise to everyone for the extra wait.

Why does the world hate me?
Arrgghhhh! That always happens :-( Whenever I have a tremendous amount of work to do, something goes wrong. I've always wished that my machine would sew itself... I think it heard me!
For the last week it frequently continues sewing even after I've taken my foot of the pedal. On the look out for a new one so I can get through the heap of orders I still have without any extra delays.
We've had a lot going on lately, with 4 family birthdays last week! 3 on the same day...
My big boy Josh just turned 6 on the eigth :-( Then DH, Mum and SIL all on the 10th.
Plus Josh and me have both been sick, I'm having issues with fabric suppliers, and I don't have a helper anymore. I can't wait for this to all be over.
Took a chunk off the waiting list this week though. Sending these out as soon as I do the boosters.
Apologies... I've been trying all night but can't get this photo to display horizontally. ???
